Dr.
Mark S. Erikson, VMD, and Dr. Steven M. Erikson, VMD
and the health care team at Community Animal Hospital
in Broomall, Pennsylvania, has more than 80 years of combined experience in veterinary care. We are all proud of the work that we do, and we continually strive to improve our skills and services. All of our staff members regularly participate in continuing education activities, seminars and conferences, and in the past few years five members of our staff have even gone on to earn veterinary doctorates at the University of Pennsylvania and Ohio State University.
DR. MARK S. ERIKSON, VMD
maintains the highest standards of veterinary care throughout Community Animal Hospital. Dr. Erikson is a proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and has been a small animal practitioner in this area for more than 30 years. Being the director of CAH for more than 22 years, Dr. Erikson is at the peak of his career. He enjoys his practice and the close relationship he has with clients and patients, and is also very proud of his staff and their accomplishments. Dr. Mark S. Erikson, VMD is a proud member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association.
DR. STEVEN M. ERIKSON, VMD
is a proud graduate of University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr Steve is Dr. Mark's son, who, worked summers and holidays at Community Animal Hospital, and has officially joined the team in 2016, having followed in his father's footsteps to become a veterinarian. He is passionate about animals, and will always greet you with a smile and a friendly, "Hello!"
JOANNE
is our hospital manager and head veterinary technician. She has been with Community Animal Hospital for 22 years, and has over 26 years of experience in veterinary care. Joanne regularly participates in continuing education activities, treats every pet as if it were her own, and is active in rescue work with our feline adoption center.
AMANDA
joined Community Animal Hospital 7 years ago, with more than 15 years of veterinary experience as a veterinary technician.
SHANNON
joined Community Animal Hospital this year, and brings with her a communications degree, experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and her endless love for animals!
BERNADETTE
in addition to being a physical therapist, is married to Dr. Erikson. She is responsible for managing the whole Erikson family, and has helped at Community Animal Hospital whenever and wherever needed for many years.
KATIE
recently graduated with a DPT from Arcadia and is now a licensed doctor of physical therapy. Katie has worked many years with us as a receptionist and veterinary assistant while she was in school. Congratulations, Katie, and thank you for all your help over the years.
CAROLYN
Graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with an illustration major. She assists with animal and patient care, and provides amazing artistic talent throughout the hospital.
REY AND HAILEY
Hailey greets everyone who has time to share with her, and is pictured here sharing her bone with Rey, Dr. Steve's German Shorthair Pointer pup!
BEAUTY
Beauty is a 17+ year old Maine Coon who recently joined our team. Beauty loves attention, and never stops purring!
SLY
has been our hospital mascot since his rescue 17 years ago. Sly is head of the greeting committee and takes his job very seriously (pet me please!). Sly also agreed to model for our sign during Community Animal Hospital renovation and expansion 8 years ago.
